No hardware on the conveyor

Infrared sensors sit on the line, break down, and need replacing. CamContador requires nothing on the conveyor itself — installed once and running from day one.

What the system counts and how

CamContador works with rod-type conveyors, belt systems, and lift mechanisms. Counting zones are configured for your specific line.

The system monitors egg flow at every point. Eggs coming in from the batteries should equal what reaches the packing stage — if the numbers don’t match, you see it immediately: by battery, by shift, by day.

Conveyor speed control

On some farms egg flow varies constantly — when all conveyors run at maximum speed, more eggs arrive at the sorting complex than it can handle. They pile up and crack.

CamContador can connect to a frequency inverter and adjust conveyor speed automatically based on the live egg count. When flow is high, the belt speeds up. When it drops, the belt slows down. One farm processing up to 48,000 eggs per hour runs this way.

This is an optional feature — not every project needs it.

What you get in reports

CamContador tracks egg counts across all zones and builds reports for any period — by shift, day, week, month, or longer.

A typical report shows input flow, output flow, per-battery counts, and accuracy. Management uses these reports to compare battery productivity and identify which battery is underperforming.

Export: PDF, Excel. Integration: REST API, MQTT, or direct push to ERP — the accounting department gets the shift report automatically.

What to know before deployment

Works with your existing cameras

We configure the counter to work with the cameras already installed on your farm. If the angle or resolution isn’t suitable for accurate counting, we identify this during the pre-test — before any contract.

Works in low light

The system doesn’t require special lighting. A basic light source is enough — if a person can see the eggs on the belt, the system can count them.

One known limitation

When eggs stack on top of each other on the belt, the camera counts what it sees — the eggs underneath can’t be detected. This is a characteristic of visual counting on poultry farms and rarely affects overall accuracy. We tell every customer about it upfront.

What happens after launch

After the system goes live, we monitor the first results together with you. If discrepancies appear — a shifted camera, a lighting change, a new conveyor section — we adjust remotely.
